Doogie Howser, M.D.

I have rediscovered Doogie Howser! I remember watching this show along with The Wonder Years while I was growing up. Doogie Howser is not your average genius teenager, he's a doctor, played by Neil Patrick Harris from the cast of How I Met Your Mother [another great show btw]. He's just your everyday whiz trying to live a normal life.

Here's a short clip from an episode I just finished watching. The back story to this scene is that he's been having this particular dream repeatedly and he can't figure out why or how to interpret it.

All four seasons are available on Hulu FTW!

The big picture

One of my all-time favorite hobbies is tinkering around with gadgets and seeing how I can improve upon an existing idea or what I can pull together from what's scattered within my head. Charles Benton out of Berkley is a lot how I am in that perspective while at the same time integrating photography, another recent hobby I've picked up in the last year.

The thing about various photography styles that intrigues me is that you get the chance to view every day subjects in different perspectives. This method brings things to new heights!

The Amazing Race - Season 14

I've been meaning to write about the premiere episode of The Amazing Race - Season 14, unfortunately endless headaches with MATLAB programming/debugging, my lack of sleep this week, and apartment hunting have had a say against it. I almost completely forgot/misunderstood when the next Amazing Race was going to air again. Luckily however I didn't miss it when it premiered last Sunday on CBS, therefore rendering me over-joyed :-)

This season starts off with teams setting off for Switzerland. I won't go into detail about the episode, but I will mention of one of their tasks of which required a team member to bungee jump off of the second-highest bungee location in the world! It was exhilarating just watching them jump! It was almost like I was sky diving again, only I was firmly planting in my seat. For my fellow Auburners out there, Preston was representing our awesome school of Auburn University. Unfortunately, he and his girlfriend Jennifer were eliminated on the first leg. Oh well, War Eagle.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the season as it unfolds. For those who missed the first episode or are interested in watching, you can catch the full episodes on

"We've only really started to invent things."

Woody Norris, the man responsible for the technology behind the Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) utilized by the military and the Jawbone bluetooth headset, is who I like to call certain people "the natural". Being someone who never got his college degree (by all means though, get your education kids), Norris has become such an innovator in acoustic technology and is always developing new and exciting things. In this video he demonstrates his latest "invention" that focuses sound energy that can be used almost as headphones, only without the actual headset! Kind of hard to explain so I'll let the man do it himself.

Website enhancements

Jpkii

Just released a newly enhanced website that I've been working on for the family business, J&P Khamken Industries, Inc. where we manufacture high quality end items for clients that include but are not limited to Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Arvin Meritor, and the Department of Defense. Not much was changed since it's only been less than six months from the initial site revamp. Only some minor features were added and a new Quote Requesting System was implemented that's geared towards improving the process of requesting a quote. There will be more stuff to be added and improved upon in the future as the company continues to grow.

Well that's one item on my list of projects I can cross off. Onto the next one...but first, must get some sleep.

Oh, and here's a link for those interested. www.jpkii.com
