In some cases, more is better

Western Digital Passport 250GB Elite arrived in the mail. Although it did come with 20GB already used up (GRRRR) I’m so happy to finally upgrade to more memory to keep all my work files, music, photos, and other goodies as they accumulate. My previous Western Digital Passport 80 GB did good for the past 3 years until recently when she couldn’t hold any more. Time to promote her to some other use.

Back up and running

So sometime late Monday evening to early Tuesday morning my laptop gave me the evil system-error bluescreen. This was bad because I had a meeting later that day at the office that I needed my laptop for. Somehow I got it working again, not fully 100% though, but it was enough. I toyed with whether or not to just reformat the hard-drive to do a complete clean of any kind of virus that may still be lurking around. Eventually I decided to do with the reformat just to be sure. So now I’m back up and catching up on tasks.

The "WASP"

This totally reminds me of something James Bond or the new Batman would use. Basically it's a knife that injects a cold ball of compressed gas at approximately 800 psi…instantly. For those of you who aren't aware, if you decend underwater to a significant depth and then ascend back to the surface quickly, your lungs could rupture due to the unbalance of air pressure inside and outside of your body. That is essentially principle behind the WASP. The site has a video demonstrating its effects on a watermelon which looks potentially devastating if used on an actual predator, man or animal.

Three weeks

Thought I'd see how long I could go without shaving. Although it was starting to annoy me a bit last night, I woke up this morning feeling really good for some unknown reason. It was probably because I got another one of my really good work sessions into the wee hours of the morning [that's another topic to be discussed later]. Or maybe it was something else, can't quite put my finger on it. Anyways…soooo tonight, after studying a good 4-5 hours for my test this Friday, I thought I'd take the razer to the skin.

A new one?

Well, it looks as if I may have a new place for posting/sharing my random nonsense and daily findings other than with Tumblr. Honestly, I was initially skeptical because both Posterous and Tumblr are very similiar to each other, but I figured I'd give it some time and see if it grows on me. And besides, who doesn't like startups?
