Fun fact: Origin of "January"
Today during World Literature, while discussing Tablet I of the Enuma Elish I learned something new that I found interesting. The word "January" originates from the Roman God Janus, who was the god of gates. He held two faces, one looking forward and one looking backwards which symbolized the transition from past to future. Hence he was worshiped during marriages, births, and other beginnings such as the new year.
